Proud to be part of a community team effort to produce The Guilford Guide - AND win the Vermont Planners Association's 2026 Project of the Year to boot! I designed the guide with simplicity and locality in mind, and created a lasting document for current and future town residents.  #malouindesign #vermontplanners #guilfordvt 

"The Project Award was presented to "The Guilford Guide," a 75-page handbook created by Guilford Guide Volunteers. 10 residents spent two years researching, writing and editing the publication, which covers topics ranging from local government to emergency resources."

For over 30 years, the Vermont Planners Association has recognized outstanding achievements in community planning in Vermont – the work that community volunteers, staff, and other leaders undertake to support the places we love and to help us all thrive, now and into the future. Nominees come from all corners of the state and represent the best in local, regional, and state planning by citizen and professional planners. VPA’s annual planning awards highlight the often-unseen work done by people and projects in Vermont that make our state a great place live. Awards not only honor the recipients, but also help to inspire fellow planners, spark community interest/participation, and help Vermonters see opportunities for growth and change at local, regional, and statewide levels.
